Karen Frame is an accomplished attorney with more than 25 years of in-house legal experience advising product-driven and data-intensive companies. She has provided strategic counsel to organizations ranging from privately held startups to publicly traded global enterprises with revenues exceeding $180 billion. Her practice spans commercial and software transactions, corporate formations and filings, SaaS and cloud infrastructure, data and privacy, machine learning and artificial intelligence, licensing, intellectual property, employment and workforce matters, and real estate transactions. 

Karen brings a distinctive business perspective to her legal work, shaped by her early career as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). This financial foundation informs her pragmatic, risk-aware approach to structuring deals, managing operational and legal risk, and aligning legal strategy with business objectives. She has served as General Counsel for several companies, overseeing contracts, partnerships, regulatory compliance, employment matters, real estate and facilities, and intellectual property in fast-moving and highly regulated environments.

Earlier in her career, Karen supported digital, product, and enterprise initiatives at Accenture and Intel, where she worked on complex SaaS agreements, M&A-related matters, regulatory compliance, marketing-related legal issues, and employment and operational matters. She has also provided long-term legal support to companies including VMware, CipherCloud, Fiserv, and Advanced Energy Industries, demonstrating versatility across industries and operating models, including commercial leasing, site expansion, and workforce transitions. 

Karen earned her J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law, completed a concentration in International Business Transactions at the University of Oxford, and holds a B.S. in Business and Accounting from Indiana University. She is admitted to practice in Colorado, Illinois, and Washington and is also licensed as a Colorado real estate broker.
